On Sunday, July 6, 2025, during the Zoom gathering hosted by the Association, a new light was cast on the study of the Bhagavad-gītā, seen through the transformative and radiant lens of the Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava school.

🎙️ The point of departure was the Gītā Prema Amrita Prārthana, an invitation to every aspiring devotee to drink directly from the source of divine wisdom — the very mouth of Krishna. This is not an academic study, but a profoundly devotional journey centered on three sacred stages: sambandha (our eternal relationship with God), abhidheya (the path of service), and prayojana (the supreme goal: pure love for God).

✨ The Hidden Meaning of the Pāṇḍavas
A particularly moving moment was the analysis of the word “Pāṇḍuputrānām”, which goes far beyond mere genealogy: it does not just mean being the biological sons of Pāṇḍu, but rather embodying a spirit of surrender and service to the Lord. In contrast with Duryodhana and the Kauravas, the Pāṇḍavas are elevated here as eternal symbols of devotion and humility.

🛡️ The Bhagavad-gītā thus becomes a map of the human heart, an inner battlefield — our personal Kurukshetra — where each day we wage a war between surrender and resistance, between service to Krishna and enslavement to the ego.

📿 Modern Education and Spiritual Amnesia
A significant portion was dedicated to a critique of modern education — a system that exalts ego, ambition, competition, and material gratification, while completely neglecting the soul’s true nature. The session reminded us that the human being is, in their deepest identity, an eternal servant of the Lord — Kṛṣṇera nitya dāsa — and that any deviation from this truth leads only to confusion, frustration, and bondage to the cycle of birth and death.

🎓 The powerful example of Dhrishtadyumna was also invoked — born from a sacrificial fire to destroy his own teacher, Drona — to illustrate how training without values can become a double-edged sword.

🌸 The True Revolution: Surrender to the Guru and Service
What truly liberates, purifies, and brings genuine joy — it was emphasized — is surrender to the Guru, the practice of śaraṇāgati, and association with sincere devotees (sādhu-saṅga), which strengthens our resolve and stabilizes our love for God.

The meeting concluded with a deep reflection: our true identity is neither social, nor cultural, nor biological. We are Rādhādāsīs, servants of Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī, and everything that happens to us — even the loss of possessions or securities — is simply Krishna’s way of bringing us closer to Him.
